The mosaic floor and vaulted ceiling are from the Knight's Hospital which is quite beautiful. The pillar with deer on top commemorates the location where the Colossus of Rhodes (one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World) had his left foot. Apparently, the colossus was 100 feet tall and spanned the entrance to the harbor. It was built in around 300 bc and toppled by an earthquake only 60 years later.Ciao for now,

This all looks so wonderful!! I am envious of all the beautiful, historical places you guys are visiting! And what a wonderful trip for the kids. They will remember this for the rest of their lives.
